    1PL or First Party Logistics consists of an individual or company that is in charge of storing and transporting its own merchandise. 1PL is typically applied in small production companies with local distribution that are self-sufficient in their logistics services.

    2PL or Second Party Logistics is the first step in the outsourcing of certain logistics tasks by a manufacturing company, including transportation. 2PLs are also in charge of warehousing the goods.

    3PL or Third Party Logistics («Third Party Logistics» or «Outsourced Logistics») consists of outsourcing most or all logistics operations to an external operator.

    The 4PL or Fourth Party Logistics (also known as LLP or Lead Logistics Provider) is a logistics provider that provides logistics services of consulting, planning, management, localization, integration of new technologies, acting as a supervisor of the operation of the supply chain. The 4PL operator does not perform physical transportation and warehousing tasks, which are delegated to the 3PL operator.

    The list of items allowed for bonded warehousing is so long that it is more convenient to talk about the omitted or excluded items. Items that cannot be subject to tax warehousing:

    Ammunition and weapons.

    Explosives Radioactive or nuclear material.

    Chemical precursors.

    Most of the gemstones are Jade, coral and ivory.

    Jewelry articles made of precious metals.

    Cigars Finished vehicles with some exceptions.

    It is a movement requested by a Customs Broker. To carry out this maneuver, the Customs Broker requests an empty container from the Shipping Line. The Customs Broker must demonstrate to the Bonded Warehouse that he/she is authorized by the Importer or Exporter to handle the merchandise.

    International Commercial Terms are internationally recognized rules that define the rights and obligations between buyer and seller and establish how costs and risks will be allocated between the different parties to a transaction and their objective is to unify commercial concepts, so that the seller and buyer perfectly understand the conditions of the operations carried out between them.

    EXW stands for INCONTERM and stands for Ex-Works also known as «ex works», this means that the seller delivers the goods at his premises or at another designated place, while the buyer assumes the risks and costs related to the loading, transportation and clearance of the goods. This is favorable for exporters, since it represents a minimum risk. It means the minimum commitment for the seller and the maximum obligation for the buyer. It is normally used by novice exporters.

    It is an INCOTERM that stands for Free On Board (FOB) or free on board, it is used exclusively for maritime or river transport. It can be useful to control the freight and shipping costs of your merchandise. In this INCOTERM, the seller delivers the goods at the port of shipment and assumes the costs of export customs formalities and export licenses. On the other hand, the buyer carries out the import formalities, arranges transportation from the port of shipment and assumes the costs during the delivery of the goods (unloading, freight, clearance, etc.).

    This INCOTERM stands for Cost, Insurance and Freight. This refers to the selling company delivering the goods on board the vessel and must contract and pay the costs, all customs formalities and freight to the port of destination. While the buyer assumes the risk of loss or damage to the goods at the port of shipment. It is worth mentioning that the insurance is contracted by the seller, but entitles the buyer.

    This INCOTERMS stands for Delivered at terminal, where the seller assumes all costs, including the main transport and insurance (which is not compulsory) until the goods arrive at the agreed terminal, assuming all risks until that moment.

    This is the SAT registry in which all individuals and companies must register in order to enter foreign products into Mexican territory.

    Distribution

    A container is a totally hermetic metallic box used in three modes of transport: sea, rail and land, the van, its only mode of transport will be land and its means of transport will be the truck to which it is attached to the chassis.

It is an agent who acts on behalf of exporters, importers and companies in order to arrange the shipment or transportation of goods in a cost-effective, reliable and efficient manner.     An online store is a website, or a section within a website, where visitors can purchase products from a digital catalog and use different payment methods such as credit cards, debit cards, paypal, wallets, bank deposits, among others.

    Picking is the process of preparing an order: products are selected and picked from different places in a warehouse (aisles, shelves, etc.) and then organized before being packaged and shipped to the final recipient. Packing is the process of packing, wrapping and packaging a product.

    Value-added services refer to services that are complementary to the warehousing and transportation of goods and are required for regulatory, tax or commercial compliance. Some of these services are: Labeling (NOM, Marketplace, special requests) and relabeling, kitting, product packaging and repackaging, manual insertion, warranties, others.

    These are those productive activities of a company that are sent to a different company to be carried out. In other words, it is a production whose main objective is to reduce costs and provide competitive advantages.
