International logistics and the technological revolution 4.0

Without a doubt, Industry 4.0, also named the Fourth Industrial Revolution, has had a decisive impact on logistics processes and the way in which products reach the end customer.

Technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, augmented reality, the internet of things, software development and process automation, have generated important changes in the logistics and international transport sector, which have accelerated significantly in recent years, leading to to great opportunities for companies that incorporate these technologies in their processes.

At ABC® Logistics, through the development of our Warehouse Management System (WMS), we have automated various processes in the supply chain that allow us to offer a more complete service to our customers: we connect with online stores, we receive orders automatically and can track them in real time.

For us, one of the most important advantages of automation through WMS is to be able to measure the performance of orders through KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators). In this way, we offer our clients a large volume of data and information, so that they can interpret them to make the best decisions based on them and make the necessary adjustments to meet their objectives: improve delivery times, measure order accuracy, identify the most requested products, know inventory turnover, and so on.

For all this, and in order to offer more possibilities to our clients, at ABC® we have sought to optimally connect these technological tools that we offer in the last mile, with suppliers and strategic allies that also have 4.0 tools for logistics operations international, with which we can ensure processes and more efficient transactions.
