One year away from the new normal: what have we learned at ABC®?

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the Covid-19 outbreak a pandemic, an unprecedented event that brought many changes for everyone, including the way we work at ABC® Logistics.

The health of all the people who collaborate in this company became the number one priority. Therefore, from the beginning we define strategies and implement actions in accordance with the recommendations of international organizations, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), as well as national organizations such as the Institute. Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) and the Ministry of Health (SS).

Throughout these months, we have intensified and updated cleaning routines in operational areas, offices and high-touch surfaces. The acquisition and use of supplies such as face masks, disinfectant towels and alcohol gel, are now part of a culture of prevention, not only for Covid-19 disease, but for other contagious respiratory diseases. Similarly, the identification of minor and major symptoms, as well as the surveillance of suspicious cases, has become a habit for all our collaborators. At the same time, we have privileged shelter at home for people with a higher risk of contagion, and we implemented teleworking for 40% of the team.

Thanks to all these measures, which today are part of our new way of working, we managed not only to take care of the health and safety of employees and their families; We were also able to continue our participation in the market in order to continue offering quality services to our clients.

Thus, we can proudly say that thanks to the participation and solidarity of all of us who are part of the ABC® family, we are ready to continue working, offering logistics services tailored to the new demands of today’s world to all our current and future clients. .
