More than 131 thousand companies from all sectors participated in the eleventh edition of the Good End, which this year inaugurated the season of end-of-year discounts and reached the expectations of the industry, according to preliminary figures from the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco-Servytur).
Based on the sample of more than one hundred National Chambers throughout the country, Concanaco reported an average increase of 10% in sales, compared to Good End 2020. The Confederation has even indicated that the final results could reach up to 20% growth.
Some e-commerce platforms have also presented their first results. Tíanube assures that among its clients there was an increase of 12% in the turnover of the Good End 2020 compared to last year. For its part, Mercado Libre has indicated that sales within its platform increased by 79% compared to 2020, and have highlighted that in this edition they managed to sell more than 1 million items in a single day, as well as an increase of 15% on the average purchase ticket.
David Geisen, general director of Mercado Libre México, mentioned in a statement:
“The results of the Good End of this year reaffirm the consolidation of e-commerce as an excellent purchase option for Mexicans. Even in a context of full recovery of mobility, our users value the convenience, safety, variety and quality offer that we have reinforced in recent years. ”
According to Hendrick Aponte, Head of Platform of Trendenube, a good part of the results could be explained by a greater and better participation of SMEs, since this year, the number of participating businesses in this category grew by 800%, in addition to that an improvement in its processes and operations, including its logistics, has become evident. Without a doubt, the official results of Good End 2021 exceed expectations and augur a good end-of-the-year high season.
